New York in the fall. Is there anything greater?
Nope.
I decided to take a page from one of my favorite bloggers and write and show you photos at the same time.
Isn't this image amazing? I can't actually take any credit because my mom took the photo while she was walking around Central Park during sunrise.
It's moments like these that make me so incredibly grateful to be alive and with the people that I love.
I didn't have my incredible photographer with me and took mostly selfies (my only regret).
The sights, however, were still breathtaking.
I only got about 5 hours of sleep a night and consumed many, many cups of coffee to keep me going. This, by the way, was the first time I wore tights since my dance recital days. Talk about a flashback.
Oops. Another selfie. This time in front of the New York Public Libray.
I knew if I searched long enough, I would find the real reason for coming to the Big Apple. I really do believe that I belong on 5th Ave for good.
Between meetings, I was able to explore on my own, and I managed to find more and more coffee to maintain the erratic speed walk that I performed so well.
Hello, Mr. Barristo.
Hey, look! Finally a photo that isn't a selfie!
This might be the most comfortable sweater dress I have ever worn (thank you, little sister).
Before early morning breakfast and meetings, I would sneak out of the hotel and run down to Bryant Park and people watch. One of my dearest friends took me to this park when I first visited and I couldn't wait to come back and experience it again. I was given a book about New York when I arrived in the city and decided to read it in the park. I felt way too cultured for my own good.
If I had to do it all again, I would spend more time at the New York Public Library. The architecture was incredible and the "fast paced" feeling of the city just kind of went away when you were sitting outside the building.
What blogger doesn't take a picture of his/her food? A crazy one.
I felt like Eloise living in the Plaza with my fancy square plates and blueberry garnish.
Don't worry, I also had NY style pizza as big as my face and bagels that could make a donut lover convert.
Look at how cute this mini waffle stand is in Bryant Park!
Note to self: Eat. More. Waffles.
The weekend was a whirlwind but I wouldn't change a thing. I hope to be going back soon so if you have any suggestions of what I should see, let me know! I'm always up for a New York adventure.
xo,
TheClosetDime
