3 Reasons to Buy Overalls this Season

Here are 3 (out of a bajillion) reasons why I love overalls.

1. They're unique

It's difficult to wear overalls without feeling like a country bumpkin, but I'm telling you, they're back in style. Black overalls that go down to your ankles are trending big time right now and are in most major stores. I am especially into these American Eagle ones because they're corduroy, and are crazy soft.

2. It's a single item of clothing

Pairing multiple articles of clothing together is both a blessing and a curse. I like playing around with outfits as much as the next fashionista, but I don't always have time to stare at my closet for 20 minutes trying to come up with something new to wear. Overalls make it easy because it's both a top and a bottom. You can add an infinite amount of under shirts to go with it, and you still end up with a cute look. I wore a lace-trim crop top from Charlotte Russe because I liked the back of the overalls and wanted the straps to be visible.

3. Pockets. Duh. 

I wore this outfit to a food truck rally with a group of friends and didn't want to have to carry a bunch of stuff in my hands. Between taking photos for my job, and stuffing my face with powdered beignets, I need pockets to hold my money, Chapstick and punch-cards. Yes, I go to food trucks that often. I probably looked a little silly, but I didn't care. The front middle pocket was awesome for my iPhone and some cash, and I didn't have to slow down on all the blueberry and brie grilled cheese sandwiches that I wanted to devour.
