I hope you guys can forgive me for not posting in over a week! Between dedicating a new building and rubbing shoulders with the Dean of my school, I have been up to my eyeballs in blessings and late nights projects. Because I've been dressing in business attire most of the week, I decided to scrap my blazer and go for more of a casual look.
David & Young Felt Fedora // Michael Kors 'Slim Runway' Watch // PiperBlue's 'Tweeting On a Branch' Necklace
It finally warmed up outside so I decided to cut slits in the shoulders of my sweater (just kidding). ;) It actually is getting warmer, though! Not Spring Break weather, but it's definitely an improvement on the frigid weather we have been having.
Fedora: No stranger to hats, (you guys probably get sick of seeing them all the time) I rotate them pretty often. I always wear my hair down, though, and decided to change it up a bit. For multiple reasons, all of them being that my hair was messy, I decided to try a bun with my fedora. I pulled a few front pieces out of the messy bun, but kept the rest towards the nape of my neck.
Shoes: I took the laces out of these shoes that I got from Target a couple of years ago. They remind me of the type of shoes Oliver Twist would wear when he was roaming the streets with Dodger, and I always get teased by my friends when I wear them. Nevertheless, I thought they worked well with the cream and gold in the outfit.
Necklace: One of my favorite necklaces that I swiped from my sister, this handmade piece is unique without being too flashy. I love the "birds on a limb" theme and thought it added a nice tough to the outfit.
I have a feeling that my busy schedule won't be dying down any time soon, so bear with me while I try to post as often as possible!
xo,
