3 Simple Steps to Extending Your Winter Wardrobe

I'm practically wearing pj's in this post and it still manages to look put together by adding a few simple layers!

If I'm being honest with myself, the reason why I wear so many layers is so I can wear a bunch of different clothes at one time. It's not a solid argument, I realize that, but I don't want to have to wear less layers just because the weather is getting warmer. It's harder to blog in a warm environment where you sweat through shorts and a tee, but I've started to pick up on a few tricks to wear my winter clothes for as long as possible.

1. Wear Cotton

The white long-sleeved shirt under the sweater blouse is incredibly thin and weighs nothing. I can layer it under almost anything without getting overheated. Because it's made of cotton, it also stretches enough to roll the sleeves if you're really warm.

2. Capri Leggings

It's not always cool enough to wear leggings and boots but I refuse to give up the look just because it is getting warmer outside. The leggings in these photos are actually capri length and don't make my legs feel too warm in the boots. I'm also wearing thinner socks instead of boot socks. You'd be amazed at how much cooler it is!
Who would want to give up wearing boots? Nobody.

3. Up Do's

In addition to being super trendy, infinity scarfs are a great accessory when you don't have the proper jewelry to match any given outfit. The problem with this scarf, however, is that it is crazy thick! (I like to call it my polar bear scarf.) Wearing your hair in a top knot or pony tail not only elongates your neck, but also cools your neck and doesn't feel so restricting.
Have tips of your own? Let me know!
