Brunch: a late morning meal eaten instead of breakfast or lunch

There are very few things in life that I love more than brunch. It is my special family birthday meal every year and it almost always includes coffee, bacon and too many carbohydrates to count. I associate so many good memories with brunch and the yummy foods that come along with the experience of eating good food while in good company.
My oldest sister first got me entranced with the idea of brunch when she would make world class french toast and homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch. The food was always amazing and as I got older and liked to sleep in longer, it was only normal that I would eat breakfast later and later.
Half of the fun of going to brunch in the late morning is that you have to time dress up and look presentable. There is a big difference between TheClosetDime at Dunkin' Donuts and TheClosetDime at Sarabeth's. When I go and spend a little more money on an omelet, or a teacup full of coffee, I like to look the part (I am a style blogger, after all). It was chilly during these pictures so I grabbed an oxblood coat to match my lip color and paired simple leather legging with pumps, a floppy black hat and my new favorite brunch shirt. In case you guys are overly impressed with me, which I doubt you are, I have to tell you that I only know enough French to understand this stellar shirt. This brunch look is more edgy than most, but I couldn't get the idea out of my head!
Thanks to my incredibly fancy chef of a sister, I now spend all my money on words like Benedict and hollandaise.
au revoir,
TheClosetDime
Mmm... Bacon! Copious amounts of BACON!
